A Jordanian MP was detained in Israel for smuggling

Israeli law enforcement agencies detained a member of the Jordanian parliament for smuggling weapons and gold.

According to "Report", the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Jordan released information about this.

It was noted that relevant authorities of the ministry are monitoring the case of MP Imad al-Adwa, who was arrested by the Israeli authorities for arms and gold smuggling.

According to Israeli media, Al-Adwan was detained at the King Hussein Bridge at the Israeli-controlled Allenby crossing between the West Bank and Jordan. Illegal weapons and gold were found in his car.

Israel has already announced the prevention of smuggling of 10 pistols, approximately 9,000 5.56 mm cartridges and parts of automatic firearms from the territory of Jordan.
